The Ohio University chapter of the American Association of University Professors (OU-AAUP) advocates on behalf of academic freedom, tenure, shared governance, and equitable working conditions for all OU faculty.

 We organize roundtables and public events, draft editorials and white papers, and work with other faculty groups to advocate for a meaningful and effective faculty voice in university decision-making (shared governance). We also provide advice and support for individual faculty members facing infringement of their tenure and contract rights.  We invite participation from faculty members, other university employees, and graduate students who share the same principles.
